Systems Administrator Field Service Representative, Quantico VA

Position responsibilities include the following:

  • System and Network Administration support for Windows Server 2008 and 2012 along with CISCO systems
  • Perform regular and system backups
  • Monitor local and wide-area networks
  • Provide Customer and Network Administration services such as password, accounts, security and troubleshooting issues
  • Assist with upgrades, security patching and software installation including configuration and set up after installations/upgrades.
  • Technical support for computer hardware/software issues, network printers and other peripheral devices, LAN/WAN switches and support devices.
  • Creating user accounts in Active Directory and Exchange

Experience Requirements:

  • Remote Access, Remote Desktop, VOIP and VPN experience highly desired.
  • Working knowledge of IP printing configurations, static and reserved IP addresses within an enterprise network
  • Basic Printer and copier maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of Virtual networking and VMWare
  • Basic knowledge of UNIX OS
  • Experience working with senior officials with the ability to listen and communicate on issues, desires and requirements while maintain compliance with all required security and directives.

Support will be at the Marine Corps Intelligence Agency (MCIA) at Quantico, VA and other local commands such as Fort Meade, MD and Ft Belvoir, VA. Some remote support will be required at the Marine Corps Intelligence School (MCIS) located at Dam Neck Naval Base in Virginia Beach, VA.

This position requires a current at a minimum a CompTIA Security Plus Continuing Education (CE) Certificate (other acceptable certifications include: GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, GCIH, CISSP or CASP) and a Microsoft server certification (2010 or higher) is highly desirable (or will be required to be obtained within 60 days of hire).

Cyber Security Engineer, Norfolk VA

Description: Predicate Logic is looking for a dynamic self starting individual to join our Submarine Operating Authority Engineering team providing communications and network technical support for the U.S. Navy Submarine Force.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be the In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) On-Site Cyber Security Engineer for the Low Band Universal Communications System (LBUCS) equipment and network at Commander Submarine Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet Norfolk, VA.
  • Maintain the LBUCS suite fully operational and in compliance with all cyber security requirements.
  • Supervise the performance of all System Administrative responsibilities for the LBUCS suite.
  • Supervise the configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of the LBUCS suite.
  • Provide remote assistance to LBUCS transmitter sites as required for system configuration, testing, troubleshooting.
  • Develop and provide test and evaluation support for new concepts, lead site testing, System Operational Verification Testing (SOVT) and other test events in support of the LBUCS Suite.
  • Assist government personnel in maintaining strict configuration control of the LBUCS suite of equipment.
  • Possess knowledge and comprehension of secure build techniques, tools and practices of DISA Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG).
  • Participate in Submarine Operating Authority Engineering reviews.
  • Provide technical representation at meetings as required to represent the Submarine Operating Authority systems and in particular LBUCS.

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Install, Configure and Maintain a scalable and highly available virtual environment utilizing VMWare vSphere ESXi hypervisor
  • Working knowledge of direct attached, network attached and storage area network-based storage devices, protocols and management techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco UCS and Netapp storage solutions with a focus on VMWare-based solutions
  • Fundamental knowledge of network architectures and associated equipment including, but not limited to zones, screening devices, and typical design.
  • Working knowledge with CISCO routers and switches and their configuration and management.
  • In-depth knowledge and ability to troubleshoot the TCP/IP protocol suite.
  • Working knowledge of network analysis tools such as Wireshark.
  • Ability to manage and audit the cyber security of systems using tools such as HBSS and ACAS.
  • Ability to perform log reviews of systems to analyze for evidence of exploitation.
  • Ability to interface with remote users via chat, telephone, naval messaging and email to assist in troubleshooting system functional issues.
  • CISSP Certification required.

Description:

Position responsibilities include set up, configuration and testing of classroom training and command computer and network devices. Must have experience in both Windows Operating Systems including Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012/2016 pertaining to active directory and DHCP. Experience with MS Exchange 2013 is a plus. Applicant will also support student preparations such as network access and SIPR Tokens as required for training. It is highly desired that applicant have Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) experience with certificate of training for ACAS desired.

  • Assist Fleet personnel afloat and ashore in the troubleshooting and repair of legacy and IP based communications systems.
